If you have ever wanted to play Golf on a Mountain Course that overlooks a beautiful blue Ocean, Monte-Carlo Golf Club is where you want to go. Built atop a ridge of a mountain ridge that is below Mt. Agel, 900 m above the sea, not far from Nice, France, the scenery alone would make you want to play this course. However, this facility has a lot more to offer than just scenery.
On arrival, you will be cordially greeted and welcomed into the vintage style Clubhouse by a very friendly staff of competent professionals. Services available include the Restaurant Gaston Donadio with a full Bar and Tea Room, Locker Rooms and showers, a well equipped Pro Shop with rental clubs and a Caddie service if needed.
The Course offers practice Chipping, Putting Greens and a Driving Range to warm up on before you play. There is more to this course than the usual up and down, up and down Fairways of hilly Golf Courses, a lot of creativity has gone into its design. Both the Fairways and the Greens are in excellent condition and well kept. A lot of tough approaches and the Greens play very fast here with a lot of breaks in several of them. The Slope Difficulty Rating is, of course, a big factor on any Mountainous Course and here at Monte-Carlo, it is rated at 129, not as extreme as one would expect. It plays 5,683 m from the men’s Yellow Tees and Par is 71.
For visitors, a valid Handicap Card from your Home Course is required and may not exceed 35. Reservations can be made by phone or online, Credit cards are accepted for all their services. The Managing Director, Charles Houtart, will be pleased to assist with any questions you may have regarding the courses services.
